12 MONTHS OR 50,000 KM – WHICHEVER COMES FIRST
The engine assembly and its internal components supplied by Border Rivers Cylinder Heads are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for 12 months or 50,000 km from the date of purchase shown on your tax invoice, whichever comes first.
Engines built specifically for performance applications (dirt or mud track racing for example) are outside of this warranty and are only covered by a Workmanship Warranty.
This is a parts-only warranty. Border Rivers Cylinder Heads, at our discretion, agree to pay the cost of engine removal only ONCE per claim. We are also not required to supply any specialised tooling for replacing or removing items on the warrantied components. Installation outside of this is arranged by you and is not covered by this warranty. Any service personnel travel associated with the warranty will need to be agreed upon BEFORE the travel takes place.
- Installation Requirements
- The engine must be fitted by a qualified mechanic or licensed workshop following the vehicle manufacturer’s procedures and specifications.
- Before fitting, the cooling system, oil feed and return lines, fuel system, injectors, turbocharger (where fitted), sensors and wiring must be inspected and found serviceable. Faults in these components must be rectified before the engine is started.
- Any transferred components (turbocharger, injectors, manifolds, sensors and similar) are fitted at your own risk and are not part of this warranty.
- All fuel pumps and injectors, unless otherwise stated on your invoice, are required to be serviced at the time of installation and may be required to be provided for warranty claims.
What Is Not Covered
This warranty covers internal engine parts only. The following items are not covered:
- Seals, gaskets, filters, spark plugs, glow plugs, fluids and other consumable parts.
- External components, unless specifically listed on the invoice, including turbochargers, injectors, fuel pumps, sensors, wiring, ECU, starter motor, alternator, A/C compressor, clutch, flywheel, radiator, water pump, thermostat, belts and hoses.
- Transferred components fitted from the original engine.
This warranty does not cover damage caused or contributed to by:
- overheating, oil starvation, low oil or coolant, or contaminated or incorrect fluids;
- faults in the vehicle’s cooling system, fuel system, electrical system or other vehicle components;
- incorrect installation, incorrect timing or set-up, or repair by a party other than Border Rivers Cylinder Heads without our agreement;
- misuse, over-revving, racing or competition use, towing beyond the vehicle’s rated capacity, tuning or modification;
- water, dirt or foreign-object entry;
- continued driving after a warning light, fault or abnormal symptom;
- Important
- Stop driving immediately if overheating, low oil pressure, a warning light, abnormal noise, smoke, loss of oil or coolant, or any other serious engine fault occurs.
- Contact Border Rivers Cylinder Heads before the engine is dismantled or repaired by any other party. Engines opened or repaired without our prior agreement are not covered.
No warranty work will be commenced UNTIL the warranty, and its requisites have been established, and any work carried out on components or engines on denied claims, such as inspections and testing, will be required to be paid for BEFORE the components or engine is released to the customer.
