Stand by for a big announcement in the coming days.
We have been having issues with phone and internet over the last week or so. Please be patient as we’ve just diverted the phone to Stan’s mobile.
We will be closed this short week to give the guys a well earned break.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Wishing everyone a safe and relaxing holiday season.
We will be reopening on the 6th of January.
Many thanks to you, our customers and supporters for the year behind, and we look forward to the same for the year ahead.
We apologise for the short notice, but we will be closed today but open again tomorrow from about 10.
Stan will be unavailable on his mobile from tomorrow (4th) until the Wednesday (10th) next week.
If you urgently need to speak to Stan, leave a message, or send him a text and he will endeavor to return your message if he is able to.![]()
The shop will still be manned over that period, so still feel free to either drop in or call the shop on (07) 4671 2724.
This goes out to all the young engine fans in Goondiwindi area.
We are looking for a Junior to join our team in the engine shop.
Duties will include stuff to make our jobs easier, like buffing stuff, cleaning stuff with the right dude (or dudette) having the opportunity to move into machine work once we know you won't kill yourself (the machines or us, more importantly). A few hours a week, after school days and possibly a little more.
This opportunity may lead to an apprenticeship. If you're interested in something different in the automotive pathway, and are in Yrs 10, 11 or 12, stop into the shop and ask for William.
Introducing our newest addition to our services: Balancing.
Powered by a Turner Technology Balancer, we have set this machine up on our old Surface Grinder (RIP due to wasps nesting in the windings).
Who should have their engines balanced?
Most engines coming from production factories have some level of balancing. This is OK for a stock driver, but once you start to put extra load with new components, it should be done.
Doing a stroker? Balance it.
Doing a street crusher? Balance it.
Putting together a hot LS? Balance it.
Semi finished bushes on a diamond cylinder hone. In the words of Con the Fruiterer “Berdifal!”
We will be closed from tomorrow, Wednesday 12th, until Tuesday 18th.
My apologies for the inconvenience.
If you are trying to reach Stan, send him a text and he'll try to return your call when he's able to.
